5 Reasons to See: The Hives*

1. They have more energy than you.
They play every song like it’s their last. Everyone in the band has a great attitude…and it shows.
2. They dress better than you.
They have the stylized look of the Temptations but with a punk rock prep school edge. ust look at the picture.
3. They play their instruments better than you…and everyone you know.
Everyone has their role and plays it perfectly. The dueling guitar syncopation is awe inspiring. The drummer never backs down and the singer rocks that mic!
4. They are from Sweden. Enough said.
5. They may send you home with a free memento.
You may get spit on by the guitarist. If that is the price to pay for good music in this routinely manufactured, overproduced music world we live in then so be it!
*I didn’t actually see them but my boyfriend texted me in the middle of their show last night in order to tell me I was missing out. He could not stop raving about it so I felt it was my duty to write about it. He was the one who came up with this list, I am just the transcriber.
