More Rockers For Obama and Free Mp3

Musicians all over from Arcade Fire to The Grateful Dead are supporting Barack Obama. The numbers continue to be exponential. Today, it’s been announced via Billboard and other various media outlets that The National, The Breeders and My Morning Jacket’s Jim James have pledged their support for the Democratic Presidential nominee. The National and The Breeders will become a fundraising team on Oct. 16 to encourage people to “Vote Early, Rock Late.”
Doing their own thing, Wilco and Fleet Foxes are also persuading people to rock the vote. All fans have to do is go to the Wilco site and pledge to vote in general. In return, they get a free mp3 of the team-up covering Bob Dylan’s “I Shall Be Released.”
