Pennywise Cancels Liskfest Show

Bad news for Los Angeles, Pennywise fans. The punk band has just announced that they will NOT be performing at Liskfest on October 11. And there is not even a good punk-rock story to go with it. No one accidentally smashed a piano bench over the singers head after downing a bottle of JD while groping a 16 year-old groupie that happened to be the daughter of the head of the LAPD. No. Apparently it all came down to scheduling conflicts and mis-communication.
The band released the following statement:
“We apologize for any confusion regarding Liskfest taking place October 11. When the show was initially cancelled by Goldenvoice, we moved on and decided to concentrate on other projects. When Liskfest was back on we never reconfirmed, contrary to web spread rumors. We do apologize for any inconvenience and believe that Liskfest will be a great show, but we WILL NOT be on the bill that day.”
