personally, i think that it is ridiculous that everclear would even use their fame and power to violate the church and state separation. first of all, this can be argued back and forth about who jesus was and what he represents, and we may never come to an agreement, and secondly, wasnt everclear like 10 years ago. this is all just complete non-sense, including the song.

God has NOTHING to do with politics. In fact he didn’t win he cheated. Did God use his Divine power to get a cheater in the White House?

I don’t think Jesus was a Democrat because I don’t think he would have supported big government, higher taxes, or the pro-choice platform. If Jesus was a Democrat, I think now he is a Republican. That is why he helped elect George W. Bush with his divine power, and he will do the same for John McCain.

Plus in what ways was Jesus a modern day Republican? I don’t think Jesus would support war. Doesn’t he want to save people? I think he would be for public health care, again to help people in need. I think he would be for saving the environment. I think he would be against drilling. Against the bridge to no where.

All and all, Jesus was a hippie, I say democrat

#1: Why couldn’t Jesus be for abortion? There is nothing in the bible about it.

#2And if you’re pro-life can you not be a democrat for other reasons? Or is it a requirement? I think there are more issues behind political parties than just abortion.

What do other people think of this song? I personally agree with most of what the song stands for, but I am interested to know what other people think. I’m sure it must have turned a few people off!
