MTV Europe Music Awards

Fauxmosexual and “I Kissed a Girl” singer Katy Perry has been granted the prestigious honor of hosting the 15th annual MTV Europe Music Awards at the Echo Arena in Liverpool on November 6.
In addition to her hosting duties, Perry has been nominated for best new act and most addictive track. If you thought Perry wasn’t enough however, she’ll be joined by her bff and pseudo-celeb blogger of the stars, Perez Hilton, who will be hosting the official online awards show and also reporting for MTV News from the red carpet.
Grace Jones, Solange Knowles and Tokio Hotel are set to present, while Duffy, The Killers and Solange’s older sister Beyonce will be performing.
Nominees include Coldplay, Alicia Keys, Paramore, The Cure, Britney Spears, Rihanna, Leona Lewis and Amy Winehouse. You might be surprised to find that teen sensations the Jonas Brothers as well as Miley Cyrus are nominated. In my opinion, the best person nominated is Rick Astley in the “Best Act Ever” category, who was picked by popular vote by write-in. Europe isn’t gonna give you up Rick, or let you down, I hope.
In addition to its U.S and U.K nominees, Suspekt from Denmark, Stereo Mike from Greece, Gonzo from Hungary, Morandi from Romania and Dima Balan from Russia, which if you remember took home first place at the Eurovision Song Contest this year with “I Believe.
