Oasis’ New Album Gets Guitar Hero Treatment

Activision, the makers of the addictive and incredibly fun Guitar Hero games, have announced that they will give Oasis’ new album Dig Out Your Soul the Guitar Hero World Tour treatment.
Three tracks from Dig Out Your Soul will be available for download on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 on November 6. The tracks are “The Shock of the Lightning,” “Bag It Up” and “Waiting For the Rapture.” The entire album will be available to download in its entirety or as individual songs in 2009.
Guitar Hero World Tour will be available for the Wii, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 on October 26. The classic Oasis track “Some Might Say” is included on the “set list” for the new game.
Now the folks at Activision need to create Liam and Noel avatars for the game. How great would it be to rock out on your plastic guitar and drums while the brothers Gallagher rock out on the screen?
