It’s Official: Guitar Hero Metallica in 2009

News of a possible Metallica version of Guitar Hero started leaking a few months ago, but it’s now official.
Activision, the makers of the game, hid an easter egg in the just released Guitar Hero World Tour game that takes players to a trailer for the game. The trailer asks players to “unleash your metal god” while “Master of Puppets” plays in the background. At the end it says “Ride the Lightning, 2009.”
Metallica already made their new album Death Magnetic available for the game when it came out in September. Hopefully, this means that Guitar Hero: Metallica will have only classic Metallica tracks. Oh and a note to the band and Activision, no St. Anger please.
