Beirut’s Zach Condon Preps Double EP

Beirut mastermind Zach Condon canceled a European tour earlier this year to recharge his batteries, but he has stayed busy. He spent his time off prepping a double EP.

The first EP is a six-track Beirut release titled March of the Zapotec. The tracks were partially recorded in Mexico earlier this year. The second EP is credited to Realpeople, a moniker Condon used early in his recording career. This release is titled Holland and features newly recorded versions of five songs of his oldest songs, a few of which have appeared on compilations.

The double-disc release will be out on February 17 in the US and February 16 in Europe. It will be released on Condon’s own label Pompeii Records.

Look for Beirut to return to the road in 2009.
