gunsnroses Guns N Roses Leaker Pleads Guilty

Los Angeles blogger Kevin Cogill, who was arrested in August after he posted nine leaked tracks from Guns N’ Roses unreleased album Chinese Democracy online, has pled guilty to one count of copyright infringement reports Reuters.

Cogill will enter his guilty plea on December 8 according to the assistant U.S. attorney. Under the original charges when he was arrested, Cogill could have faced more than three years in prison. The attorney declined to release the details of the plea.

What is still unknown, at least to the public, is how Cogill obtained the music. It is reported that he has no direct connection to anyone involved in the Guns N’ Roses organization.

Could we see another arrest in the future or will the source of the leak just be beaten in a back alley by Axl Rose’s thugs? We’ll just have to wait and see.

Oh, and Chinese Democracy will be officially released on November 23 exclusively at Best Buy.
