DOWNLOAD AND LISTEN: Two Tracks by Mason Proper

Jonathan Visger, Zac Fineberg, Garrett Jones, Brian Konicek, and Matt Thomson are the masterminds behind the awesome new sound of Mason Proper. Their music reminds me of the late Elliot Smith mixed with a Wes Anderson film (The Life Aquatic perhaps?), with a bit of Cold War Kids thrown in. I know that seems odd, but it works perfectly. Someone needs to tell Wes!

Needless to say I think these guys have an amazing future ahead of them.
