VIDEO: Tokyo Police Club Appear on Desperate Housewives

If you are like me and have the bad fortune to have to sit through Desperate Housewives every Sunday night, I feel your pain. A weird thing happened on the show last night though. During a “Battle of the Bands” scene, the indie band Tokyo Police Club made an appearance, but not under their own name. On the show they were called Cold Splash.

The band played, or more accurately mimed, the track “In a Cave” from their latest album Elephant Shell. Someone in the band’s organization had the foresight to realize that people might have a hard time figuring out the band’s actual name, so they registered a MySpace page under the name Cold Splash. All the page does is repeats “Tokyo Police Club Tokyo Police Club” over and over again. Well played gents.
