NEWS: Lisa Hannigan Solo Record Gets US Release Date

Irish songstress Lisa Hannigan, best known as Damien Rice’s former sidewoman, is finally releasing her first solo album in the US. She has signed a deal with ATO Records who will release the album Sea Sew on January 20. The album was released in Hannigan’s home country of Ireland via her own label in September.
When talking about to Billboard about why it took so long to release an album, Hannigan said “I’ve always been writing, but I never performed those songs for people. I spent six years creating music with Damien and gathering more confidence.”
Hannigan is currently on tour in the US with Jason Mraz through the end of November. Check out those tour dates here.
