NEWS: Mastodon continues tour, releases vinyl box set

Mastodon has announced plans to continue touring through mid-2009 despite guitarist Bill Kelliher’s recent hospitalization. Kelliher was hospitalized in London at the beginning of November. The group will tour as a threesome without Kelliher with plans for him to hopefully return for the beginning of their headlining European tour November 30th.

It’s been a big month for Mastodon. Today they released vinyl box set of their entire discography. Only 1,000 copies of 9-LP limited-edition set, which includes the final vinyl pressing of the groups first EP Lifesblood were created. Mastodon is set to release a new album Crack the Skye in January of next year.
