FREE MUSIC: Stream Neil Young’s “Sugar Mountain: Live At Canterbury House 1968″
Nov 26, 2008 - By EmilyIn 1968 Neil Young was about to release his very first solo album, having just left his previous band Buffalo Springfield. While very few people actually knew who he was, Young was able to sell out a performance at the Canterbury House in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Now, 40 years later Neil Young and Reprise Records are releasing the performance that night as part of the Archives Performance Series. The disc is expected to be released officially on December 2nd, but you can stream it now (as well as read more about that original performance) on NPR’s website.

Wow, amazing that this was recorded a year before I was born and is just being released…the recording sounds great considering that this was a live performnace from 40 year ago!
