If you found yourself at Warped Tour this past summer, you may have seen large neon green signs beckoning for you to watch a small band called 3OH!3. Pronounced Three Oh Three and named after the area code in which the band originates, this electro-hiphop duo has opened for the likes of Snoop Dogg and played at shows like Bamboozle Left.

So what’s so great about them? 3OH!3 has managed to break out of the mainstream music genre to create a mash-up of two very popular genres in our time. Their playful lyrics poke fun at Helen Keller (in the song “Don’t Trust Me”) and even their inability to say the word “love” (“Starstrukk”). Sometimes being random is a good thing, and for those that are looking for music that’s simple and catchy, give their album a listen.

3OH!3 is comprised of Sean Foreman and Nathaniel Motte, two guys who met in a physics class at the University of Colorado. They signed to Photo Finish Records in April of 2008, releasing their album, Want, in July of the same year. The album was produced by Matt Squire (Boys Like Girls, Panic at the Disco) and Benny Blanco (Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Spank Rock), two very influential men in the music industry today.

3OH!3 have announced their tour dates, and are on tour now with INNERPARTYSYSTEM. In February, they will tour with Katy Perry overseas.
