THE GARDEN PARTY: Catherine Feeny & The Challenge of Feral Green – Interview from The Garden Party on Vimeo.
Beatcrave presents the third installment of The Garden Party series featuring Catherine Feeny and The Challenge of Feral Green.
These two singer-songwriters were touring the country playing intimate shows in people’s Living Rooms when they stopped off in Los Angeles to perform for The Garden Party. For nearly 2 months, they traveled 15,000 miles and played close to 50 living rooms but only 1 garden – ours! Check out the videos below…
Beneath the flight path of the Santa Monica airport, in the secluded LA enclave of Cheviot Hills, Catherine Feeny and The Challenge of Feral Green mesmerized us all with their beautiful voices and moving songs of loneliness, heartbreak and struggle. The two took turns performing their own songs as well as singing together in one of the quietest yet most captivating and moving Garden Partys yet.
Catherine Feeny introduced some songs off her new album which is anticipated to be released in 2009, as well as treating the audience to what could be the first in an ongoing collaboration between the two artists.
Enjoy! And please leave a comment and let us know what you think.

I had no idea people did events like this- makes me proud to live here in LA. I think the interviews were really well conducted and I liked the intimate filmmaking- worked very well with the type of music played.

I was witness to this great night. They were both amazing and more bands should do things like this to get in touch with their fans.

This was an amazing time! This "Garden Party" happened to be at my house & it was a truly great experience. I was so happy how many people turned up a Monday evening. To the reviewer above, if that's the real Fran Healy (whick I doubt it is) , i'm a huge huge fan!

LA can be so hectic and stressful… and this Garden party was the perfect "relaxation getaway" right in a neighborhood backyard. The backyard in Cheviot Hills was completely transformed into and warm, cozy, fairytale-like atmosphere with strings of paper lanterns, roses, and canopies of Bougenvellia…it truly was a Garden Party. I'd totally go again!!!
