Scarlett Johansson Wants To Write Her Own Material

Scarlett Johansson says she wants to write an album of original songs as a follow-up to her debut album “Anywhere I Lay My Head.” The actresses’ first album was almost entirely covers of Tom Waits’ songs.

Typically actresses aren’t particularly good songwriters and songwriters aren’t particularly amazing actresses, but it might be interesting to see what Johansson comes up with. In an interview with NME Johansson said, “it’d be a project I’d have to dedicate myself to” so a new album is probably not something we’ll see anytime soon unless she takes a break from the movie circuit.
