flagged 25 CONCERT REVIEW: Pierce The Veil, Breathe Carolina, Four Letter Lie

*Note: There is a photo gallery at the end of this article.

Wednesday, November 26th, gave me the opportunity to see what it was like to watch up-and-coming bands worthy of playing sold out shows in large arenas play at a small venue like the Troubadour. As someone who is very into mainstream music, it’s always a challenge to want to go to a show when you don’t know the artist very well. How do you know if the artist is good or not?

For Pierce the Veil, Breathe Carolina, Four Letter Lie, Emarosa, and In Fear and Faith, that was no problem. The lines leading to the entrance of the Troubadour were long and extended around the corner. Doors opened a little after 6PM, and the show started around 6:30. In Fear and Faith was up first, followed by Emarosa, then Four Letter Lie. Breathe Carolina and Pierce the Veil closed up the show. Check out the photos after the jump.

NEWS: Man Man Wants To Make Your Kitty A Star

Calling all cats: Man Man needs you. Eccentric Philadelphia-based indie rock act, Man Man, have apparently put out an ad seeking the perfect little baby kitten for a video shoot. The band posted a bulletin with this news in hopes of finding the perfect stage kitty by November 30th. So, if you live in Los Angeles (where the shoot is), you’ve still got a few days to sacrifice your kitty. (Why do I feel like all child stars with a kitty have a chance to be more miserable this holiday weekend?)

If whoring out your kitty is of any interest to you, you can go ahead and e-mail Lex at lexhalaby@gmail.com. However if you’d like more information besides the assurance that your kitten will not be eaten, check out what Man Man has exactly requested:

mrvegascover EP REVIEW: Mr. Vegas, Oh My Gosh

Mr. Vegas has teamed up with remix masters Aaron LaCrate and Debonair Samir on “Oh My Gosh”, resulting in a short, sweet, punchy package. By combining a steady trend of beats with unexpected modifications, this EP proves fit for the dual purposes of casual listening and gyrating in a sea of bodies in a dark club, high on elevated endorphins.
