Pocket Sized DJ System Arrives in the US

Now you can mix your own songs on the go! Tonium’s Pacemaker, unveiled Tuesday at the CES press event in Las Vegas, is not just a portable music player but also a portable mixer.
You can mix tracks together, reverse the playback direction, increase or decrease music speed by 100 percent, and employ audio effects such as reverb and delay. The Pacemaker also has a publishing platform for sharing music, with embeddable widgets!
The device contains a 60GB hard disk, so there’s enough space for 15,000 songs, depending on quality. Now everyone can easily make their own mixes from imported songs or original tracks, making the handheld DJing device a great way to experience music software without complicated interfaces.
Even though the Tonium Pacemaker has been in Europe and Asia for a year, it will soon have a new version implemented, and be distributed in the US. Ola Sars, Tonium’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing said:
“The concept behind the new Pacemaker centers around accessibility. Our company was founded on the belief that musical inspiration should be created by anyone and shared with everyone. With the new Pacemaker, the goal was to remove all barriers and let anyone interact and experiment with their music.”
It can’t be said much better than that, get mixing!
