Cool Music Stuff: Multi-room Touchscreen Music Server

CasaTools is now shipping the CasaTunes XL Music Server, a multi-room music system that features a built-in touchscreen and a 250GB hard drive. The server can play stereo music in up to 48 rooms, as well as music from mp3 players and phones.
If 20,000 songs isn’t enough, you can always add another hard drive to the Server. It’s also possible to control the Music Server from a PC browser or supported web browser device, like laptops and mobile phones. Each room can listen to their own songs from different sources.
You can connect your iPhone and iPod to the Server and play music stored in Windows Media Player or from your iTunes collection. Starting at $1,500, the system is a pretty steep purchase for what is, in essence, a touchscreen mixing table. However, fans of home automation will love this centralized way of having music in every room of the house.
