• Popular mathrock band Tera Melos has been searching for a new drummer, but in the meantime recorded an EP of covers which they are distributing for free on their official site. Idioms Vol. 1 includes classics from the Beach Boys, Pixies and The Clash. Furthermore, those who are interested in seeing them live in the US now have their chance; check out the tour dates to see if they’re performing near you. [Plug in Music]
• Computer-music virtuoso Tom Jenkinson, aka Squarepusher, has released a free track from his recent EP Numbers Lucent. All you have to do is go to the Warp Records site and verify an e-mail address. The EP takes a dive into the hardcore-glitch genre, with Tom’s unique mix of drum and bass and distortion. Be sure to check it out if you like to keep up with the freshest electronic music! [Warp]

• The Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, which begins July 10 at the Sleep Train Amphitheater in Sacramento, Calif., will count on performances from Marilyn Manson, Slayer, and Bullet For My Valentine, wrapping up Aug. 18 at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in San Antonio. Trivium, Cannibal Corpse, All That Remains, and Black Dahlia Murder are other big metal names at the festival, which you can investigate fully at the Mayhem site.
