- Stones Throw Records has a list of J Dilla tribute concerts in the U.S. this month. Highlights include Miguel Atwood-Ferguson & Carlos Nino with orchestra, performing “Suite for Ma Dukes” for the first time in Los Angeles. The American record producer is widely renowned, having produced artists like Madlib, Busta Rhymes and Kanye West. Check out the performances! [Stones Throw]
- Tricky is touring the U.S. in March, check out the dates here. After the success of last year’s hit album Knowle West Boy, the greatly overdue tour kicks off in New York, passes through Texas, and climbs the west coast before ending in Seattle. Domino Records is simultaneously digitally releasing the “Puppy Boy” single with remixes, unreleased B-sides, and videos for “Council Estate” and “Puppy Boy”. - Guitar legend BB King will be returning to the stage in June with four shows in Britain. The blues guitarist is 83, and has played at least 15,000 performances, cementing himself as one of the most respected and successful blues musicians of all time.
