David Carradine and the Cosmic Rescue Team
At the 7th annual Conscious Life Expo at the LAX Hilton this weekend, Hollywood legend, David Carradine is performing with his band, the Cosmic Rescue Team, in what promises to be a Friday night concert of pure American country, blues, funk, jazz, pop, and rock. Vocalist Sharon Benson, bassist C.J. lll, Leslie Daniel on drums, and guitarist Benjamin Lein, provide back up for a rhythm pounding start to a weekend full of seminars and workshops for a better life. Catch David’s workshop on Sunday where he will discuss spirituality in the arts. David is an accomplished actor, star of the TV series, “Kung Fu” and as Bill in Quentin Tarantino’s “Kill Bill.”
The film festival, now in its 4th year, showcases work from filmmakers: Roberta Cantow, Nimrod Erez, Patty Greer, and David Thomas, as well as panel discussions and interactive workshops. The Film Festival Award Ceremony is on Sunday.
The Conscious Life Expo runs from February 13 – 16, boasts more than 160 vendors, free lectures, post conference events, business symposiums, and a Valentine’s Day Workshop series. Keynote speakers include, George Noory, David Icke, and Marianne Williamson.
