Even though you might not be able pronounce it’s domain name (♬.ws), Sawhorse Media’s new Twitter music search engine lets you track down messages about your favorite bands, and Tweet whole band search results quickly and easily to your own Twitter account with a click. The site is also reachable via musebin.ws, and every artist page has links to LaLa, iTunes and Amazon.

Sawhorse Media CEO and Shorty Awards organizer Greg Galant told Wired that:

“We want to make the experience of seeing what people are saying (tweeting) about music easy and fun.”

A normal Twitter search turns up the same results as ♬.ws with its “go” button. However, the integrated Tweet button lets you link to the respective Musebin page with a short, Twitter-friendly URL, which you can use instead of a # tag. This gives your followers a quick way to see what else has been said about that artist or album. Of course, all links to albums and mp3′s are included in your search results.

“We don’t know what the end game is since Twitter’s evolving so rapidly,” says Galant. “We’re providing a tool to challenge people to take discussing music on Twitter to the next level.”
