Lollapalloza To Offer $60 Tickets This Week

Mailing lists can often fill your inbox to the brim with junk mail, but if you want to score cheap tickets for this year’s Lollapalooza (August 7-9) in Chicago, it might be worth your while to subscribe to the festival’s list.
Festival promoters C3 always offer an early bird ticket deal for Austin City Limits Music Festival, and now they’re extending that tradition to a $60 3-day pass for Lollapalooza! The trick is, fans must subscribe to the Lolla newsletter via the festival’s website and wait for a notification that a link for the specially priced tickets has been posted on the home page.
Considering that the regular price usually ranges from $175 – $200, receiving a few e-mails here and there really isn’t much of a bother if you get a $60 3-day pass out of it. Even if the lineup isn’t as stellar as last year (Radiohead, Rage Against the Machine and Nine Inch Nails headlined), the cheap festival pass could provide the economic stimulus you need to afford the travel expenses that might go along with it.
But so far, the alleged 2009 lineup is looking incredible. With Jane’s Addiction, Nine Inch Nails and Kings of Leon almost assuredly set to rock the fest, even splurging for the regular price could be well worth it…
Will Lolla’s cheap ticket off be enough to draw the masses?
