Jack White Starts New Band ‘The Dead Weather’

By

The White Stripes’ Jack White has formed a new band with The Kills’ Alison Mosshart called The Dead Weather.

The band also counts with Jack Lawrence of The Raconteurs and Dean Fertita of Queens Of The Stone Age. The group will release their debut album, ‘Horehound’, in June on White’s label Third Man Records.

White keeps a tremendous pace as he maintains his three bands simultaneously. And although fans might clamor for a new White Stripes album, the new project produced by White results in a superb collaboration between the various members of the band.

Jack plays the drums, which might seem unusual if you aren’t aware of his earlier days in Detroit as a drummer in the early 90′s. Breathing a bit of fresh air on rock music, The Dead Weather has their single available on iTunes, and you can check out the band’s website for future updates. Stay sharp for the album release and 2009 tour!

Are you excited for White’s new project?
