Poll: Do You Prefer CDs, Vinyl, Or MP3s?

With the evolution of technology, change never stops – especially in music. Back when we were listening to music via portable CD players, who knew we would have a music player that fits in the palm of our hands a decade later? Go back further in time and think of the generation who thought record players were a God send. Now fast forward to the present and we have multiple choices for how we even want our music to sound… We’ve got still the good ol’ vinyl, we’ve got the traditional compact disc, and now we’ve got extremely convenient mp3 audio files to cram into an iPod, Zune, etc… However, which one sounds the best? Do the downloads you get through websites such as ours comfort you, do you like the studio sound of your CDs, or do you prefer that nostalgic crackling of the vinyl? Hell – there are even mp3s from artists who record in lo-fi so they get that crackling noise. There are so many choices! Which do you prefer?

vinyl – by far. im not claiming to be an audiophile or anything but it just stand to reason that the thing that is hardest to steal is the thing that is most worth my money. i can download an album or trade a CD with friends, but an album on vinyl is just a bigger, better-sounding and one of a kind. I also like the fact that it basically forces me to sit and listen to an entire album. When I'm listening to my ipod I can't help but get sucked into shuffle/playlist mode.
