Themselves Release Free Album
By sergiosoto
Jeffrey “Jel” Logan and Adam “Doseone” Drucker, known together as Themselves, are releasing a full length album, for free, through Anticon Records. “theFREEhoudini,” is a 39-minute mind-altering Rap album that features: Aesop Rock, Busdriver, Lionesque, Slug of Atmosphere, D-Styles, DJ Baku, Pedestrian, Sole, Yoni Wolf (of Why?), and Odd Nosdam (as cLOUDDEAD), among others. These guys are here to make some honest rapping happen. Very artistically made, this album attributes much of its success to the mixing of Odd Nosdam.
The album, “theFREEhoudini,” is available for the next 90 days, absolutely free (there is also a deluxe version, containing 16 minutes more, that is on pre-sale here). Themselves will be participating in SXSW this week, and appearing at Coachella on Sunday, April 19th.
What do you think of their album? Should more artists release free music?
