Poll: April Fools! Is Trent Reznor Hilarious Or What?

Trent Reznor takes first place for April Fool’s Day 2009! Who knew he was quite the comedian? (Although Exotic Birds is kind of funny when you look back at it.) Early this morning, Reznor thought he’d play around with the massive amount of people who are obsessed being in other people’s business (Twitter) by posting a message saying: “I’ve been busy. Brand new FULL LENGTH NIN record available now,” with a link to this brand new album. I know what you’re thinking – a NEW full length? What? How did I miss this? Well he had everyone fooled – especially all us internet geeks just waiting to hear music news like this first hand! When you actually go to the link, you see this fake album cover above: Trent Reznor in Kanye glasses under a lame title of Strobe Light. The website has this cheesy beat looped with the title flashing enough to give you a seizure, but it gets even better! He posted another message on how to buy this fake album with the following instructions:

To download NIN’s new full-length album Strobe Light, PRODUCED BY TIMBALAND, enter a valid email address in the fields below. A download link will be sent to you immediately. Your credit card will be charged $18.98 plus a $10 digital delivery convenience fee. Your files will arrive as windows media files playable on quite a few players with your name embedded all over them just in case you lose them. You will also receive an exclusive photo and a free email account with our partner Google’s Gmail service.

Your email will be kept confidential and will not be used for spam, unless we can make some money selling it.
