Poll: Are You Still Excited About Vampire Weekend?

Remember when Vampire Weekend first came on the scene, and people were already declaring them as the best new band of the year? (Spin 2008) Well, I was one of those people who were really excited about them as well. I don’t even know how many times I’ve listened to that album. However, it’s been a while since I’ve pulled that record out for a spin.

Now, after a few major appearances and mini-tours under their belt, they are beginning to record a sophomore album, that’s been long awaited by devoted fans. Singer, Ezra Koenig, told EW, that they were basically done with the LP but are still putting the finishing touches on it so it’ll have a “sculpted” sound. Keyboardist Rostam Batmanglij takes part as producer again.
