Doves Give Away Acoustic Song

Fans of the Doves should just stop whatever it is they’re doing now and scoot over to Doves.net to download an exclusive acoustic Mp3 version of the track “Birds Flew Backwards.”

The song comes from their most recent release, Kingdom Of Rust, the fourth album from the indie rock band out of England. Apparently it’s the only Doves song ever to feature a Delruba (an Indian instrument that is a cross between a sitar and a cello). So there’s that.

The acoustic track is only available for a limited time – so don’t delay. I just listened to it, and it’s pretty darn good; much better than the original, in my opinion. I also had to throw in the video below of my favorite Doves’ tune.

The Doves website is pretty terrific, by the way, if you’re a fan of the band. There’s plenty of multimedia, news and cool features – everything you’d want from your favorite artists’ official website.
