The Garden Party with Simone White

It was a breezy Venice evening when Simone White rolled up on her bike to perform for the 5th installment in the Garden Party Series. Her guitar strapped to her back, she made friends with the music fans through conversation before hand and then wowed the attentive audience with her quiet songs of imagined southern childhoods and tales of her past.

Coming off a recent European tour, Simone played an hour long set and took a break in the middle to talk with us about her musical family history, upcoming album and friends she’s made along the way. She played a few tunes off her current record from Honest Jon’s Records, I Am The Man, as well as her forthcoming album, Yakiimo, due to be released on June 12th in Europe through Honest Jon’s.
