Glasvegas To Rock Las Vegas With Secret Show

Glasgow rockers Glasvegas are set to perform a secret, but not that secret show tonight in Las Vegas to help kick off their US summer tour.

Hosted by MySpace, as part of their ongoing Secret Shows series, the concert will take place inside the Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel. No word yet if there will be any weddings performed during Glasvegas’ set, but that would pretty cool if someone could make that happen.

Tonight’s Sin City concert is the first time the quartet has ever played in the glam, desert city from which they took their catchy band moniker. So, no pressure guys.

“Las Vegas has always seemed like another planet to us,” frontman James Allan said in a statement. “Weird, unreachable and glamorous. Our love for the late, great Elvis Presley and his infamous Las Vegas shows is the best inspiration we could wish for.”

No doubt there should plenty of Elvis’ in attendance for tonight’s show.

Post Vegas show, Glasvegas will continue with tour dates in Reno, San Francisco and Los Angeles before an appearance at Chicago’s Lollapalooza festival on August 8. The group’s self-titled debut album was released last year.
