Never ones to stay quiet on the digital media front, Radiohead have decided to open their own digital music store. The band made the announcement on their Dead Air Space site:

“w.a.s.t.e are pleased to announce the unveiling of a new digital download area on the store. We are also pleased to announce that Disk 2 from In Rainbows is now available digitally for everyone who didn’t get a chance to purchase the Diskbox.”

Right now the new store only has four releases available for purchase, but the digital inclusion of In Rainbows Disc 2 (previously only available with the vinyl edition) should get Radiohead fans mighty interested in the now available digital downloads.

Disc one of In Rainbows was released for download in late ’07 as part of Radiohead’s creative, ‘pay what you like’ business model.

Besides In Rainbows Disc 2, the other three albums for download include the original In Rainbows, Thom Yorke’s solo debut The Eraser and Jonny Greenwood’s soundtrack to the film There Will Be Blood.

The albums are priced between £6.00 and £7.50 (about $8-$11). All the songs can be sampled before purchase.

In other Radiohead news, Thom Yorke is set to play at Latitude Festival this summer. He’s been given a specially created slot on Sunday July 19, the final day of the four-day event at Henham Park Estate in Southwold, Suffolk.
