Black Moth Super Rainbow: BeatCrave Fav
By Brian McConnell
Some dude named Shakespeare (through the character of a horny teenage girl) asked, “what’s in a name?” Well, with today’s BeatCrave Fav the name is everything. Having once been Allegheny White Fish then undergoing a moniker metamorphose and becoming SSC (SatansStompingCaterpillars) before finally evolving into the ridiculously appropriate Black Moth Super Rainbow: a name so cool we didn’t even have to listen to this band before inducting them into the BeatCrave Fav series. Surprisingly, however, their music is as equally psychedelic, original, zany and just plain fantastical as their handle. Consisting of band members with equally unique titles, Black Moth Super Rainbow creates an oxymoronic fusion of folk and electronica, a retro-futuristic blend of experimental and pop: simply said, this band defines the very adjective “unique.” We are truly excited to share today’s BeatCrave Fav, Black Moth Super Rainbow. Enjoy!
