Regina Spektor: BeatCrave Fav

Soviet-born singer-songwriter Regina Spektor can make you laugh until you cry, and cry until you laugh. Her lyrics are filled with love and optimism, and her songs draw pictures in your imagination. Her lyrics may seems like phrases taken out of colorful sentences, but due to her long time love of song-writing, they are much deeper than they first appear. Spektor’s music ranges from hip hop to classical music, and it never fails to be a work of art. It should come as no surprise that Spektor, even without a piano (her main instrument) or guitar, sounds just as remarkable when she sings because she explores a variety of different styles; sometimes making noises with her lips as if she were in a beat-box competition. She’s one-of-a-kind and she’s a Beatcrave Fav.
Spektor’s fifth album Far will be released on June 23rd with Sire Records. Yes, Spektor has been around for sometime now, and perhaps you have heard her hit song Fidelity in a film, but Spektor is still flourishing and she creates fresh music with creative lyrics.
