Concert Tickets: Lil’ Wayne, Modest Mouse, Flogging Molly…

As usual, an eclectic mix of bands have announced ticket on sales this weekend. May your vice be rap, rock, Irish punk or cartoonish speed metal, this concert on sale post has something for everyone (unless your into that Tibetan throat singing… but I mean who knows about next week. Just stay tuned.).
Check out our picks below…

Lil’ Wayne: Though it was just announced that his new album has been delayed for like the fourth time or something (even though his so-crappy-its-good “Prom Queen” song plays on repeat in my skull), there is some good news for Lil’ Wayne fans this week as he has announced dates for the “America’s Most Wanted” tour (the 1990’s called, they want their tour name back) with Young Jeezy, Soulja Boy Tell’em and Drake opening. The bevy of mis-spelled rapper extraordinaires will begin their tour on July 27th in Scranton, PA hit the usual markets in the US and Canada before ending August 23rd in Dallas. Dates are here and tickets are on sale this weekend.

Modest Mouse: You know when you wait around for your friend to get done with something and you’re just waiting and waiting and waiting and eventually you just go next door to get a hot dog until your friend gets out. You could say Modest Mouse is doing that. While Johnny Marr is off working with The Cribs on a new record (apparently he’s making the rounds on the Pacific Northwest concert scene), Modest Mouse has decided to go out on a little tour of their own with former Grandaddy guitarist Jim Fairchild filling in.
The tour begins August 17th in Halifax, Nova Scotia and plays a combination of medium sized rooms and big ol festivals such as Outside Lands, and Street Scene before ending September 7th at the Bumbershoot Festival in Seattle. Tickets go on sale this weekend for the headlining dates and tickets for the festivals are already on sale. You can find dates here.

Flogging Molly: Celtic-American punk band Flogging Molly have announced a brief summer tour beginning September 10th in Sacramento, Ca. The dates, which follows the bands run on this summer’s Warped Tour, hit most of the West Coast states and ends September 26th in Denver. Veteran reggae/ ska act Hepcat opens all dates. You can find relevant dates and onsale info in this Myspace blog.

Dragonforce: Guitar Hero gods Dragonforce have announced a North American tour with Sonata Arctica and Taking Dawn opening. The quick fingered tour will begin in the heart of Hollywood, CA on September 18th, then winds down on October 11th in Philadelphia. You can find all dates here.

Pinback: San Diego rockers Pinbackwill play dates across America beginning October 17th in Tempe, AZ and ending November 15th back home in San Diego. The tour hits the usual big cities and you can find all dates and info here.
