Dirty Projectors’ New Music Video: Stillness Is The Move
By Seraphina L.
The indie rock collective, Dirty Projectors, has always been eccentric in their songwriting and visual style. Led by Dave Longstreth, their sounds of distinguished lo-fi arrangements have included incredibly tight harmonies and intricate accompaniment. David Byrne has even taken notice of the group before the two artists collaborated together on “Knotty Pine,” a fan favorite.
“Stillness Is The Move,” goes above and beyond their usual sound with soaring R&B-like harmonies which rest upon foreign sounding guitar riffs and highly addictive beats. The track has been praised by several critics and although it branches out of typical indie rock, it is still quite experimental.
The video can be a bit too eccentric for new fans, but we like it! Shot in Mount Equinox, Vermont, the video features blue jumpsuits, rotating guitarists on top of mountains, huskies – AND rare llamas. Yes, Longstreth is herding llamas in this video. Check it out below!
