Green Day’s 21st Century Breakdown Goes Gold

Green Day‘s latest studio album 21st Century Breakdown has gone gold. The album was released by Reprise Records on May 15th and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart, as well as on the Rock, Active Rock, and the Alternative charts. Rolling stone called Green Day’s now, 8th album “a rock opera in which the rock always come first.” The album went on to top international charts as well, some countries include UK, Canada, and Japan.

It seems like fans really missed the rock-trio and why wouldn’t they; it had been almost five years since the release of their last album American Idiot, which also became a gold album in the U.S. Green Day is set to launch their first tour in three years across the U.S. and Canada this July. The tour will run from July 3rd through August 25th.
