Cheap CDs: The Beatles, Fever Ray, Florence and the Machine
By Laura Aguirre
While many of you may download your music off of the internet on a regular basis, I prefer to look for bargains so that you can come here and check out the cheap, but good music that is out there at a resonable price. Now, I know you (and I) aren’t made of gold so that’s why I look for the best deals on the best music. Alright, enough chit-chat and excuses, here are these weeks cheap CDs.

Under $10
- Todd Rundgren – Something/Anything? | $8.57
- The Beatles – The Beatles 1 | $7.99
- The National – Boxer | $8.99
- White Lies – To Lose My Life | $8.99
Any album by The Beatles is priceless, but for some reason I can never find any of the albums for less than $10, until today. The Beatles 1 is filled with classics from beginning to end and at a price that I have never seen before.
$10-$15
- Cass McCombs – Catacombs | $10.98
- Audrye Sessions – Audrye Sessions | $10.98
- Animal Collective – Merriweather Post Pavilion | $13.98
- Fever Ray – Fever Ray | $12.98
Most of these albums are new, but they are worth a listen. Fever Ray is the self-titled debut album from Karin Dreijer Andersson, one half of the brother-sister duo The Knife. This album is like self-discovery– very gloomy yet intense. McCombs‘ Catacombs is filled with lyrics that will teach you a thing or two about life, not to mention he has an amazing edgy voice.

- Florence and the Machine – Lungs | $7.99
- Moby – Wait For Me | $8.99
- Regina Spektor – Far | $9.99
- Phoenix – Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix | $8.99
Lungs just came out this week and it is one of the best albums I have heard this year. Florence‘s pipes are like other, not even Adele can compare to this young indie singer. Regina Spektor‘s Far is also a lovely album. The singer-songwriter used a lot of help from up to six producers, but it was all worth it.
