Becks Website Features An Acoustic Modern Guilt

When I said Beck was an awesome social butterfly last week, that was an understatement. His website alone has launched more series than weekends I’ve managed to stay sober this past month. It seems like every time you check back, he’s started a new project.

In addition to his Record Club – where he does impromptu covers of The Velvet Underground with friends, his Planned Obsolescence series – where he and friends like Broken Social Scene do DJ sets, and his Irrelevant Topics interview series with other musicians, he has now added his Videotheque series – where he features videos, short films, live clips, TV show appearances and more. To kick it off, he has done an acoustic version of “Orphans” off of his 2008 album, Modern Guilt. He plans on doing an acoustic take for each song off the entire album. He’ll probably have another song by tomorrow since it seems like he can’t sit still.

This is one artist with incredible drive… or he’s just really bored. Check out the video of “Orphans,” acoustic style, below!
