Hey Monday: BeatCrave Fav

Hey Monday, one of the newest bands in the music scene, are causing a ruckus. They’d like to call it the “Let’s Make a Mess Tour,” their first headlining tour EVER. The five-piece power-pop/punk band from West Palm Beach, Florida, has been around for less than two years, and on the road for less than one, but their fan base is so big they find themselves selling more than 1,000 albums each week. Lead singer Cassadee Pope is constantly compared to Paramore‘s Hayley Williams, as they are both one of the few female vocalists in today’s alternative music scene. The similar sounds of their voices don’t help much either.

HM’s debut album, Hold on Tight,  was released this past October, and their latest single, “How You Love Me Now” has garnered attention all across the nation. You probably already know the song – it comes up at the weirdest times and in the weirdest places. Hey Monday has been fortunate enough to receive help from prominent musical artists of today: William Beckett of The Academy Is… co-wrote their song “Homecoming,” and Butch Walker co-wrote “How You Love Me Now.”
