What are you doing the weekend of October 2-4? Sure, it’s three months down the road, but now that the schedule for the 9th annual Austin City Limits Music Festival has been announced it’s as good a time as any to grab some friends and book your tickets.

You can view the complete schedule here for the festival taking place at Zilker Park in Austin, Texas, but let’s highlight a few of the performers.

Friday features afternoon sets by Lily Allen, Avett Brothers, Andrew Bird and Blitzen Trapper, with Kings of Leon closing day 1 when the sun goes down. The Beastie Boys were scheduled to perform in a prime 8:15-9:30 pm slot, but with news of Adam Yauch’s cancer diagnosis the band had to cancel, along with other high-profile shows on their tour slate.

Dave Matthews Band and Ghostland Observatory are the chosen ones to wrap-up Day 2, but before that look for Mos Def, Grizzly Bear, Bon Iver, Cotton Jones, Alberta Cross and Sam Roberts Band to provide some excellent musical action.

The final day has Pearl Jam all by their lonesome from 8-10 pm to bring it all home, but performances prior include Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears (yes!), Dan Auerbach, Sonic Youth, Arctic Monkeys, The B-52s, The Dead Weather and Heartless Bastards. That’s a solid list right there.

Too much great music. It’s too much!

Navigating around this terrific, three-day line-up should be no easy task for festival-goers. Do I see The Levon Helm Band or Mos Def Saturday evening? Will it be Dan Auerbach or Sonic Youth on Sunday? C’mon! I’m only human!

You can check out ticket information HERE. Sadly, three-day passes are sold-out.

This year, fans can create and share their personal, ACL Festival schedule with their friends through Facebook.
