Jay Z Replaces Beastie Boys at All Points West

With the unfortunate news of Adam Yauch’s cancerous tumor, work on the new Beastie Boys album has been postponed and upcoming tour dates have been cancelled for surgery and rest. However, all festivals have been working hard to replace their slots with worthy candidates.

We reported that Yeah Yeah Yeahs has taken the Beastie Boys slot at Lollapolooza, and now we have word from Billboard who says Jay-Z will be replacing them at All Points West Music & Arts Festival. The rapper has performed at a few festivals before but this will be his debut at All Points West. Although Jay-Z has much more credibility for his talent than we can say for other rappers, he does bring a different flavor.

However, would you be happy with Jay-Z as a filler for the Beastie Boys? All Points West is offereing refunds but only for the July 31st single day tickets. Would you get a refund or be perfectly happy with Jay-Z?
