Little Boots’ New Music Video: Remedy
By Seraphina L.
If you liked the astro-projecting vibe of Yo La Tengo’s video we featured yesterday but wanted something a little more upbeat, we got you. Here’s your electro/synth-pop morsel for the day.
Little Boots (aka Victoria Hesketh), one of our BeatCrave Favs, is back with another video to promote her new single, “Remedy.” Although I still wish she had a video for her overnight hit, “Stuck On Repeat,” or “Meddle” which she heavily uses her Yamaha Tenori-On in, “Remedy” is definitely one of the best dance songs off her debut album, Hands.
While she sings, “Spin me faster like a kaleidoscope,” the visuals actually spin her around leaving the viewer a bit befuddled and we can’t help but be glad the video serves as a more fitting home for the artist as triangle-based patterns weave her in and out of some outer space setting. Instead of having an entrance in a sparkly blue dress among the homeless and street fighters (who actually turn out to be choreographed dancers), the camera automatically zooms in on the Yamaha Tenori-On then focuses on Hesketh in a metallic silver outfit.
Does anyone else think she is a mix of Laura Marling and Anna Faris? Check it out below and let us know what you think!
