Now that Michael Jackson has finally been laid to rest, more tributes are starting to roll in for the legendary singer. According to Yahoo News, a global tribute will be held on September 26th in Jackson’s honor. It will be an affair of epic proportions by taking place on the grounds of a 17th century palace. It will be a little flashy in taste, similar to the stars personal style.

Full details regarding the specifics of the tribute won’t be unveiled until later this month, but it’s promoters did have this to say about the event. They are working “briskly” “in this “singularly worldwide event.” They plan on lining up the world’s most popular entertainers to partake in the service. It’s expected to run for three hours, and will include “10 top artists performing 15 to 20 Jackson hits.” So, thank God we wont have anyone promoting their own music as a “tribute.”

Some of the rumored performers include Madonna, Whitney Houston, U2 and Lionel Richie. A few actors might get in on some of the excitement as well, but at the moment it’s all hush, hush. Why would they pick such an extravagant location as Vienna, you ask? Jermaine Jackson stated it’s because his brother “loved castles.”

What do you think of the upcoming worldwide Michael Jackson tribute?
