Bob Dylan Detained by Police in New Jersey

If you’ve been to a Bob Dylan show in the past few years, then you know the iconic rocker isn’t looking like his old self. On July 23, a New Jersey homeowner felt the same way when an “eccentric-looking old man” wandered into his yard. Rain was pouring down and the figure, dressed in sweatpants tucked into rain boots with several rain jackets and a hood pulled over his head, prompted the homeowner to alert police to a “suspicious person,” according to an article at ABCNews.com.
The officer that responded, 24-year-old Kristie Buble, didn’t recognize the music legend either. When she asked the man his name and he responded Bob Dylan, she didn’t believe him. “Now, I’ve seen pictures of Bob Dylan from a long time ago and he didn’t look like Bob Dylan to me at all,” said Buble. “He was acting very suspicious, not delusional, just suspicious,” she continued. She then put Dylan in the back of her squad car and escorted him back to his hotel in order to verify his identity. Only after seeing a passport from a tour manager was Dylan free to go.
Bottom line, Bob Dylan is getting old. His singing hasn’t been the same for several years now and according to this situation, he’s not looking the same anymore either. If you still need to check a Dylan concert off the list, you may want to get to one before the singer gets a stand-in.

If we live long enough, we get old. Did this young cop think Dylan would look the same forever? Do you?
Singers seem to have to tolerate more abuse than other entertainers when they get old. At least Dylan has changed his style, a must to avoid the fate of Elvis, Rick Nelson and man others.
