The Morning After Girls: BeatCrave Fav
By Lindsey Darden
As far as style goes, The Morning After Girls seem to go for what suits them at the time. One minute they sound like Jefferson Airplane; the other, The White Stripes; and yet another, the Arctic Monkeys or Dandy Warhols. It’s their chameleon-like sound that appeals to us – yes, more than their girl in short skirts and their long-haired boys. The risks the Melbourne, Australia-based band takes with their sound makes it difficult to pin them to one genre. Versatility – being the new black – will never go out of style, and we’d figure it safe to say the same of The Morning After Girls.
With a new album released this past July and a summer tour coming to an inevitable close, we hope to find The Morning After Girls rocking out venues by the dozens. Check them out in our BeatCrave Fav series below; if you’re so inclined, vote for them in Friday’s poll!
