The highly anticipated movie, Where The Wild Things Are, doesn’t come out until October 16th, but we DO get to hear the soundtrack a little bit earlier than the film’s release. We also just got word that the first single from the compilation is Karen O‘s “All Is Love.” (Take a look at the artwork above!) The track is available starting August 25th. That’s soon!

Today is an especially good day for fans of Karen O, Dave Eggers, and Spike Jonze. Read all about it after the jump!

As if it weren’t enough to hear Arcade Fire‘s “Wake Up” in the spine-tingling trailer, this incredible-looking film is supported by music of renowned composer, Carter Burwell, and Yeah Yeah YeahsKaren O.

In addition to “All Is Love,” the entire soundtrack is slated for release on September 29 via DGC/Interscope and all the work that Karen O has done is credited as Karen O and the Kids. (Clever.) “The Kids” mainly refers to Deerhunter‘s Bradford Cox but also includes anyone and everyone who has collaborated with her on the soundtrack.

According to Rolling Stone, this list goes on and on. Notable collaborators involve The Dead Weather/The Raconteurs‘ Dean Fertita and Jack Lawrence, Liars’ Aaron Hemphill, and The Bird and The Bee‘s Greg Kurstin. P4k has a teaser of the soundtrack here.

We’re pretty stoked. Are you?
