Cable Network to Announce Jacksons Special
By Krystal Clark
I’d heard about an upcoming reality series centering on the remaining members of the Jackson clan. I chose to not believe it was happening, because I felt it was in bad taste. Michael Jackson just passed on, and is still currently above ground. Unfortunately, it looks like there is some truth to this TV speculation according to the Associated Press. More on the story below.
The cable network A&E will broadcast a special based on the Jackson family prior to Michael’s death. It turns out that it won’t be a reality series but a “documentary special” It will focus on brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine and Randy Jackson. During the time of production Michael chose not to participate. The network says they have no plans to create a recurring series based on the siblings.
Deciding against this special was probably one of the smartest things Michael could have done. Remember what happened the last three times he let cameras into his home? He didn’t have the best relationship with members of the media. I could easily say this is a means to capitalize off of the unexpected death of an icon on the networks side. Yet, they did film the material before his passing. What do you think?
Will you watch the Jackson’s documentary special?
